This has easily made it into my list of top five favorite games, and I look forward to seeing what direction Sally Face will take from this point forward. Few games leave me crying from being heart-wrenching, tear-jerking, and just simply everything one would want in a video game. It was an emotional roller-coaster that dropped me on a cliffhanger and kept my interest all the way to the end. This episode of Sally Face left me in tears. This was Sally’s one chance to prove himself innocent, and now he is back to square one because that evidence was lost. The therapist gets so frightened by the sight of the Ghost of Larry warning him to let Sally go and to give him a chance to prove himself innocent, that the therapist falls down the treehouse, breaks his neck, and dies. When Sally’s therapist goes to the old treehouse by the apartment that Sally and Larry used to live in, he sees the “Ghost of Larry.” That is the first big shocker, that Larry is going to die. Right at the end when we are watching the present unfold, lots of new information and a shocking plot twist is revealed. For example, Todd, a new character for episode two, became a crucial ally for Sally Face. They fit the game perfectly, and each character added something special to the second episode. The new characters that had been teased to us before the released were outstanding. For the overall theme and atmosphere of the game, it was exactly what I was looking for. I had been hoping that the developers would take a darker route this time, and that is exactly what they did. From darker themed music to new and horrifying characters, there was something about this episode that had a fear factor to it more than the first one had. The atmosphere of Sally Face has been kicked up an entirely new notch this episode.
